Terms & Conditions, Cancellation & Refund Policy.

Office hours are typically 09:00–17:00, however working days are not limited to Monday–Friday due to the nature of our work.
All services are subject to availability. Where a requested service is unavailable or falls outside the remit of Nose to Trail, clients may be signposted to another accredited professional. Signposting does not constitute a recommendation, and Nose to Trail accepts no responsibility or liability for services, advice, or training methods provided by third parties.
2. Nature of Services & Contract Formation
Descriptions of services on the Nose to Trail website, social media, or other platforms are provided for information only and do not constitute a contractual offer. Submitting a booking or order represents an invitation to purchase services. Nose to Trail reserves the right to accept or decline bookings at its discretion and will endeavour to notify clients promptly where a booking cannot be accepted.
Images and media used on the website or promotional materials are for illustrative purposes only.
Nose to Trail reserves the right to make reasonable changes to services where required to comply with legal, safety, welfare, or operational requirements. Clients will be notified where possible.
3. Client Responsibility, Risk & Insurance
Participation in all Nose to Trail services is undertaken entirely at the client’s own risk. Clients are solely responsible for themselves, their dogs, and any accompanying persons at all times.
Clients are strongly advised to hold appropriate third-party liability insurance for their dog(s).
The client accepts full responsibility for:
- Any damage, injury, or harm caused by themselves, their dog(s), or accompanying persons
- Any actions taken by their dog(s), including when following advice or instruction given by Nose to Trail staff
Nose to Trail accepts no responsibility or liability for injury, loss, or damage to persons, animals, property, vehicles, or belongings during face-to-face or online sessions.
All reasonable precautions are taken to reduce risk, including risks associated with dog bites. However, Nose to Trail accepts no liability for injuries or damage resulting from dog bites during sessions. The Control of Dogs Act 1986 (Section 21 – Liability of Owner for Damage by Dog) applies at all Nose to Trail activities.
All accidents or injuries must be reported to a Nose to Trail instructor at the time they occur.
4. Conduct & Right to Refuse Service
Nose to Trail reserves the right to refuse, terminate, or remove a participant from any session or service without refund where this is deemed necessary for safety, welfare, or professional reasons. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Use of aversive, punitive, or prohibited training methods
- Failure to follow instructions
- Unsafe or disruptive behaviour
- Welfare or safety concerns for dogs or people
5. Data Protection & Privacy
Nose to Trail will collect, store, and use personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and any consent given by the client at the time of booking.
6. Payments & Booking Terms
- Full payment is required at least 7 days prior to a scheduled session unless otherwise stated.
- For invoice-based bookings, payment must be received by the date specified on the invoice.
- If payment is not received by the deadline, the booking may be cancelled and the slot released to other clients.
- Proceeding to payment confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions and the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
7. Cancellation & Refund Policy
General Cancellation Terms
- Notice Period: A minimum of 7 days’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule any session.
- Late Cancellations: Cancellations or changes made with less than 7 days’ notice are non-refundable.
- Missed Sessions: Failure to attend a session for any reason will result in the session being forfeited with no refund.
- Booking Errors: Booking errors (e.g. duplicate spaces) must be reported within 24 hours of payment. Approved refunds will be issued minus any booking or processing fees.
- Cancellations by Nose to Trail: Where Nose to Trail cancels a session, clients will be offered a reschedule or refund. We make every effort to avoid cancellations.
Refund Processing: Refunds are only issued where policy criteria are met. Clients must provide bank details to facilitate refunds.
1-2-1 Sessions, Classes & Walks
(Including Body Language Basics Walks, Reducing Reactivity Classes, and Pet Trail Sessions)
- Sessions may be rescheduled with at least 7 days’ notice.
- No refunds are given for cancellations made with less than 7 days’ notice.
- Missed sessions are non-refundable.
8. Behaviour Consultations
- Booking Fee: A £100 booking fee is required to secure the initial behaviour consultation. This fee is non-refundable.
- Client Responsibilities: All required forms (including veterinary referral and medical history) must be completed and returned at least 48 hours prior to the consultation.
- Failure to provide this information will result in the consultation being cancelled and the booking fee forfeited.
- Rescheduling:
- Initial and follow-up consultations may be rescheduled with at least 7 days’ notice.
- If less than 7 days’ notice is given for a follow-up session, an additional £35 rebooking fee will apply.
- Behaviour Reports:
- Behaviour reports will only be produced once the full consultation fee has been paid.
- If payment is not completed, no report will be issued.
9. Behaviour Support Plans (4-Week & 8-Week)
- 4-Week Behaviour Support Plan (£450)
- 8-Week Behaviour Support Plan (£799)
Once the behaviour support process has commenced, these plans are non-refundable, except in the event of the death of the dog.
Refunds will not be provided where:
- The client does not complete recommended work or follow guidance
- The client does not attend allocated 1-2-1 sessions within the agreed time period
- Progress is limited due to lack of client engagement or consistency
These plans represent a professional service and time commitment, not a guaranteed outcome.
10. Intellectual Property & Use of Materials
All content produced or provided by Nose to Trail — including but not limited to:
- Webinar recordings
- Videos
- Handouts
- Written materials
- Training plans
- Membership content
— remains the exclusive intellectual property of Nose to Trail.
Materials are provided for personal, non-commercial use only.
Unauthorised reproduction, recording, sharing, distribution, resale, or publication — in whole or in part — is strictly prohibited without prior written consent from Nose to Trail.
This includes sharing access to members-only content or recordings with third parties.
11. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
